HVAC
Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) encompasses all systems used to regulate temperature, air quality, and airflow in modern data centers. A high-performance HVAC infrastructure is essential for ensuring the reliable and energy-efficient operation of IT systems.
The data center’s gray space houses the technical infrastructure for cooling and climate control of the IT environment. This includes solutions for air cooling, liquid cooling, as well as systems for mechanical integration, airflow management, and room control. The precise interaction of these components creates optimal operating conditions, prevents hotspots, and ensures the long-term performance of IT hardware.
