TKD is among Germany’s most innovative medium-sized companies in 2026!
TKD has been awarded the 2026 TOP 100 award, making it one of Germany’s most innovative medium-sized companies. For us, this is more than just an honor; it is a confirmation of our daily commitment to thinking more innovatively and with a focus on the future.
The TOP 100 award has been presented by compamedia since 1993 and is one of the most prestigious innovation awards for German SMEs. Professor Nikolaus Franke of the Vienna University of Economics and Business serves as the scientific director. The evaluation covers five categories: innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovation processes, external orientation, and measurable innovation success. In the current, 33rd round, 356 companies applied—282 received the award.

Innovation as a mindset – not just a buzzword
A central pillar of our innovation strategy is digitalization, implemented consistently and with a clear focus on impact. Two years ago, we established the “Digital Sales, Marketing & Pricing” team for this purpose. The goal was to approach digitalization not in a selective manner, but strategically: through structured lead management, intelligent sales controlling, and the targeted automation of sales processes. The focus is on building our Customer Portal.
As part of the Industrial Cable Connectivity Business Unit, we also have an international network that we leverage specifically for innovation projects, with clear local responsibility but utilizing combined purchasing power and coordinated market development. We scale innovations that exceed local potential as a group, faster and more effectively than would be possible on our own.
Top 100 award ceremony on June 26 in Heidelberg
The official presentation of the TOP 100 Seal will take place on June 26 at the German SME Summit at the Heidelberg Congress Center. The competition’s mentor is former Federal President Christian Wulff, who will personally welcome the award recipients. We look forward to this event and view the award as an incentive to consistently pursue our course.
