One-stop shop: cable assembly for the driving release on industrial trucks

Introduction

TeraTron GmbH offers the full rangeof services from technology consulting, OEM electronics development, embedded firmware development, worldwide certification services and series production of OEM electronic components. ForRFID, NFC, Bluetooth, UWB, INTERFACES, WLAN and APPS. All under one roof, “Made in Germany”. The target markets are off-highway, access control, logistics and small & commercial vehicles.

Challenge

For the data transfer of a “Smart Lock” system on industrial trucks, the customer required a cable solution that connects the access control system with the vehicle control system. In addition, the cable assembly had to withstand the adverse environmental influences, such as changing temperatures or vibrations and shocks, but also meet the cost requirements of a price-sensitive market.

Solution

With our TKD CONNECT solutions, the focus was on the joint selection of suitable cable components. We have assembled our CAN BUS cable on customer request so that it can be used immediately on the vehicle. Our CAN BUS cables function as fieldbus cables for CAN (ControllerAreaNetwork) systems and can be used both in production automation and for special vehicles.
