The Unique Features of RADOX® Products

The unique feature of HUBER+SUHNER’s RADOX® cables lies in their electron-beam-crosslinked insulation, which significantly improves the cables’ thermal, mechanical, and chemical properties. RADOX® stands for “Radiation X-linked” and describes the process of crosslinking thermoplastic polymers using electron beams.

Developed by HUBER+SUHNER, this technology has been in use since the 1970s to significantly improve the properties of the cable insulation material, enabling the production of cables that do not melt and offer higher abrasion resistance and improved cut resistance compared to conventional cables. Even with thinner insulation, RADOX® cables are significantly more resistant to various environmental influences.
